What it is
A Big valuable worth $9,500 to $12,000 with a mass of 4 and a strength breakpoint of 1. On the third heavy damage event it explodes for 800 damage to monsters and 300 to semibots, stunning and launching everything nearby.
Handling it
Eight hundred damage is the largest single figure available from any object in the game — it kills everything, including Elsa at 600 health. That makes the Barrel the strongest improvised weapon in R.E.P.O., and the price is steep: you lose a $9,500 valuable and take 300 damage yourself if you are close. The realistic play is to bank it intact and treat the explosion as a genuine emergency button. Note that it counts heavy damage events, not total damage, so two careless drops leave you one bump from detonation.
