What it is
A Big valuable worth $3,500 to $4,500, starting at mass 3 with impact damage 0/15/30/45. Each damage event strips a shell layer, revealing a smaller and more displeased egg: mass falls through roughly 1.7, 1.2 and 1, and impact damage falls with it. After the fourth break it hatches. The creature inside cries for about five seconds, then detonates for 300 damage to monsters and 100 to players — and it explodes immediately if it is destroyed, crushed by an extraction point, or dropped into a pit.
Handling it
It swivels upright and faces you when picked up, which makes it awkward to rotate; grabbing the lower half helps. Treat the four damage stages as a countdown you can watch. Deliberately hatching it gives you a 300-damage bomb on par with the Clown Doll, but the Egg is worth $3,500 against the Doll's $2,000, so the Doll is the cheaper detonation. Never let a damaged Egg go into an extraction point — it explodes on being crushed.
