Danger Level 2The Animal is a Level 2 monster that does not so much hunt you as demolish the room you are standing in. It is one of the few enemies whose real threat is to your cart rather than your health bar.

Behaviour
The Animal roams on six human-like legs until a noise pulls it into an investigation, then spots you far faster than most enemies — roughly 1.25 seconds through a crouch and 2 seconds through a hiding spot, about half the time other monsters need. Once it closes to within a few metres it enters its wreak-havoc state and spends twenty seconds sprinting around your room kicking everything it touches. Each kick deals only 2 damage and a brief stun to a semibot, but valuables take the same treatment, and a room full of loose loot can be shredded before it calms down and flees.
How to survive it
Distance is the wrong answer here, because it follows you between rooms while the havoc timer runs. Height is the right one: hide on an upper level or under a large piece of furniture and let the timer expire away from your cart. If you want it dead, any valuable — regardless of size — stuns it on impact, so slam it from above rather than from the side, where the valuable tends to fly off without doing damage. Two players grabbing it at once also stuns it outright, which turns it into a free kill.
REPODLE hints
At 2 damage the Animal is one of the gentlest monsters in the game, which makes damage the cheapest way to narrow it down: only Peeper (2), Oogly (4) and the Hidden (0) sit at or below it. Pair that with a Medium weight class, a Medium orb and a strength breakpoint of 4 and the field closes fast. If your guess returns a low danger level with high damage you are looking at the wrong branch entirely — the Animal keeps Level 2 danger while hitting like a Level 1.
