Standard ranged damage, limited ammo
What it does
Fifteen shots, hitscan, with a fast cooldown between them. Each round deals 80 to a monster and a full 100 to a semibot — one of the few tools that hurts your own team more than the enemy. Since v0.1.2.55 it no longer misfires inside the truck.
How to use it
It is at its best against Level 1 and Level 2 monsters, whose smaller health pools it can actually clear and most of whom it stuns on hit. Against Level 3 monsters it is a poor bet: every Level 3 except the Huntsman shrugs off the stun almost immediately, and all of them survive several rounds. Fifteen shots and no recharge means treating each one as a decision, not a reflex.

Eighty damage is unique in the tool list. Its $18,000 price tier holds three items — Gun, Phase Bridge and Sword — and category splits those instantly, since only the Gun and Sword are Weapons, and those two differ on sub type (Ranged against Melee) and damage (80 against 50).
