R.E.P.O. Monster
Tick
Danger Level 1The Tick is a Level 1 monster with 10 health that latches onto your grabber and drains you until it is full. Killing it at the right moment turns it into a healing item.

Behaviour
It roams and is docile by default. What provokes it is the grabber: if it sees a semibot using one, it emits a warning sound and lunges to attach, and trying to grab a Tick directly attaches it instantly. Once attached you cannot let go, and it drains 10 health per second while healing itself for the same amount, continuing until its own health reaches 100. Damaging it during the drain only makes it take more. It detaches at 100 health and becomes docile again, fleeing from semibots and never latching again.
How to survive it
The counterintuitive answer is often to let it finish. Killing a Tick that has drained health drops a green healing aura scaled to how much it took, and a completely full Tick additionally drops a small enemy valuable — so a Tick you feed and then kill can be net positive. Never grab one deliberately. If several converge on the same tractor beam they repeatedly knock each other off, which looks alarming but wastes their time rather than yours.
REPODLE hints
Ten health is the lowest in the game and belongs only to the Tick. Together with no orb and a strength breakpoint of 0, this is the easiest monster in the dataset to pin down — a single guess against Gnome or Banger will show you a health arrow pointing straight down.
