What it does
Sixteen charges, 8 damage per hit, and a three-second stun that ignores weight entirely. The v0.1.2.55 pass raised both figures — damage from 6 to 8 and stun from two seconds to three — and stopped it hurting its own wielder unless two players are holding it.
How to use it
The universal stun is the entire value. Melee weapons that stun by weight class stop working exactly when you need them — the Frying Pan gives up above Medium, the Sledge Hammer above Heavy — but the Prodzap stuns a Trudge and a Clown just as reliably as a Gnome. That makes it a support tool: prod, then let the person with the Sledge Hammer swing. It is not a weapon you win a fight with alone.

Eight damage is shared only with the Boltzap, and the pair split on sub type (Melee against Ranged) and price ($22,000 against $14,000). That $22,000 tier is six items deep — Indestructible Drone, Prodzap, Roll Staff, Semibot Walkies, Void Staff and Zero Gravity Drone — and the Prodzap is the only Melee entry in it.
