Effect
Locates the nearest valuable item
What it does
Activated, it aims at the closest undiscovered valuable and displays the distance in units on a small screen, pinging faster as you close in. When you reach the target it flashes "found" in green and moves on to the next. Two yellow lines instead of a number means there is nothing left in range. Battery life is two and a half minutes, range 30, and it drains whether or not it finds anything — so switch it off.
How to use it
Most of the time your own eyes are enough, which is why it has a reputation as a money-burner. The exception is the sweep before the last extraction: with the easy loot already banked, the tracker marks only the elusive leftovers, and one fast semibot can circle the map with it active and flag everything the rest of the team then hauls in. Leave it in the truck until that moment unless you have a slot going spare.
