Effect
Lifts enemies and objects with a directed beam
What it does
Six charges. The projectile applies the zero-gravity effect to semibots, monsters, valuables and items, and pushes them away along the firing line. It deals no damage. A semibot hit by it enters tumble mode with something like Tumble Wings but better control, plus an on-screen timer for the remaining duration. Two Tumble Wings appear under the crystal while you hold it, and they beat faster as the staff charges.
How to use it
The impulse is the point: this is how you move a monster toward a pit without touching it, and how you lift a heavy valuable that would otherwise need strength upgrades. Since v0.4.4.3 the effect lasts longer on non-enemy objects and players can fly properly when they hit themselves with it, which makes it a mobility tool as much as a weapon. Since v0.4.2 it no longer launches valuables or makes them briefly indestructible, and idle monsters cannot hear it fully charged.
REPODLE hints
At $14,000 it sits in the eight-item joint-largest price tier, where it is the only Levitation entry apart from the Feather Drone — and those two split on category (Utility against Drone) and sub type (Active against Passive). Among the three staffs it is the only one with a Levitation effect type.
